Business students take out first place

North take out 1st place.

Bundaberg North State High School was announced as the Champion Team at the QUT BlueShift Business Case Competition in Brisbane over the weekend. Congratulations to Year 11 Business students Emma Deighton, Britney Callaghan and Georgia Douglass. North Bundaberg State High School competed against 12 Teams in the finals at QUT Gardens Point Campus. Three schools then progressed in the morning to the final round but in the end there could be only one clear winner and that was us -  “The High Flyers”. Brigidine College was placed 2nd  and Brisbane State High School  in third place. The school and the students received some excellent prizes including a $2000 Scholarship per student to QUT should they wish to pursue a Business degree.

Our students impressed the Judges with their proposal for Brisbane based franchise “Burger Urge” to expand to Singapore. They created a menu that included 3 Singapore Sliders consisting of The Rad Chilli Crab, The Merlion Roar and The Satay Sizzler. Their 15 minute presentation was delivered without a script or palmcards in a dynamic and persuasive manner. They provided the Judges and audience with a thorough analysis of the requirements to conduct business in Singapore.
