Bundaberg North SHS’s EAGLES is a school-based extension program designed to meet the needs of our high performing students in Years 7-10. Each core subject will provide extension of curriculum content in a challenging and engaging learning environment, with a focus on academic achievement and preparing students for future academic pathways.
EAGLES classes will be in English, Humanities, Mathematics and Science. Students will be in the same class groups for English/Humanities and Mathematics/Science for years 7 – 9.However, in year 10, class groups will be in each individual core subject.
Eligible students for the EAGLES Extension Program will be identified in two ways: 1) Data analysis of academic performance here at BNSHS, or 2) by parent applications. Invitations to join EAGLES will be issued to the top performing students of each cohort and must be returned prior to placement in the extension program. Participation in EAGLES will be reviewed each semester, with class teachers closely monitoring student progress.
