We are thrilled to announce that Year 7 Camp is returning in 2025!

​​​​From Monday, 10 November to Wednesday, 12 November, 2025 students from Year 7 will have the opportunity to attend Maranatha Recreation Camp in Yandina.​


The camp program is themed “Be Resilient” and aims to assist students to further develop their personal resilience, confidence, and deepen connection with their peers and teachers. Students will participate in a variety of activities including kayaking, high ropes, raft building, archery, group initiative challenges, orienteering and billy carts. These activities will support students’ personal growth.

Activity details: 

10 November 2025, 6.00 am -Students gather at the bus stop outside the Bundaberg North SHS Hall in preparation for leaving 
10 – 12 November 2025 - Students participate in activities at the Maranatha Recreation Camp 
12 November 2025 3.30 pm -Students return to Bundaberg North SHS by bus to school

  • Students will be travelling by coach between Bundaberg North State High School and Maranatha Recreation Camp.
  • Students will have access to the venue facilities. All activities are deemed Medium Risk. Appropriate management of this risk will occur, ensuring safety guidelines are observed.
  • Please ensure all relevant information regarding student medical requirements is up to date and communicated to the with the main office prior to departure (Please consider conditions amongst others such as diabetes, asthma, travel sickness, allergies or anaphylaxis.).
  • Further information regarding the required clothing and items will be forwarded to students early in Term 4.

Activity costs:

  • The cost of the camp is $295 per student. This cost includes all transport, accommodation, meals and activities.
  • Bundaberg North State High School P&C has made a generous donation towards t​he cost of bus transport. Bundaberg North State High School is covering the remaining cost of the buses ($8800.)
  • A deposit of $50 is required by the Friday 16 May 2025. (Term 2, Week 4) This amount needs to be paid in person (by parent or student) at the front counter.
  • The full amount is due by Week 2, Term 4, Friday 17 October 2025. Payment options and CentrePay​ are available for the remainder of the balance.
  • Please complete the initial consent on Q Parents at the same time.
  • If your student has paid, but cannot attend, we are unable to refund the cost of the trip and/or activities. Any money paid will be transferred to other school invoices.
  • Attendance at camp will be subject to an acceptable behaviour record. All students will be required to complete and sign a camp contract.

This is fantastic opportunity for our Year 7 students to build resilience, confidence, and deepen connections with their peers and teachers. We are excited to see the positive outcomes emerge from this camp experience.

If you wish for your child to participate in the camp, please make payment of the deposit by Friday, 15 May 2025 at the school office.
