At Bundaberg North State High School, we believe in establishing positive and effective links between parents and carers and school staff. It is imperative this happens early in the new year so that student welfare is maximised at school, ensuring positive outcomes for all. We place a strong emphasis on maintaining open communication with parents and caregivers. This enables the students, teachers and parents to work as a team, sharing a common direction and purpose. Today’s schooling places great demands on our students, and a strong support network is essential in order for your child to achieve the results they deserve.
On Tuesday 10 February, Bundaberg North SHS in conjunction with the P&C Association is hosting a “Meet the Teacher” afternoon for all families but particularly those families of Year 7 students, and students new to the school.
The afternoon is not a formal Parent/Teacher Interview evening; it is intended as an informal event where you can mingle with your student’s teachers, meet new staff, and reinforce links previously established.
Throughout the afternoon there will also be opportunities to attend additional parent information sessions, including:
- North Sports Program Parent Information Session 4.15 – 4.45pm at M04 (opposite the hall)
- Elevate Education AI and Study Parent Information Session 5.00 – 6.00pm at the library
Meet the Teachers
WHEN: Tuesday, 10 February
WHERE: Hall
TIME: 4.30 - 6.00 pm
Light refreshments, served by our Year 12 Hospitality students, will be available at the hall.
Students are encouraged to attend with their parents so they can assist with introductions to teachers. Students have the opportunity to complete the ‘Meet the Teachers’ Challenge, requiring them to introduce their parents to teachers and school staff. The Meet the Teachers Challenge sheet will be available at the door.
Successful schooling is a team approach. We do hope you can attend, even if only for a short time.
